Happy Anniversary!

Wow! I can't believe that hubby and I have been married for 33 years today! Seems like only yesterday we walked down that aisle, surrounded by family and friends, unsure of what the future would hold for us. We were high school sweethearts, actually we met in middle school, with high hopes for a lifetime of happiness. I must say, it has been quite a journey. Although our life together has not always been rosy, we have worked hard to make it last. We have lived on the East Coast and the West, have lived in several different locations and homes but have been here in our present home the longest. Perhaps to retire here, who knows.

We have two grown children who continue to make us proud to be their parents. They certainly have given us many challenges through the years but have grown to be wonderful adults. Our son has given us two beautiful granddaughters, with another baby due in February. We are hoping for a boy this time! Our son has become a wonderful father and it's no wonder at all as his dad is a great role model. A tough one at times but a great one!

Although I know my hubby will not read this post (he hates this kind of networking stuff), I just want to say....

I love you more today than yesterday...
But, darling, not as much as tomorrow!

CTMH's Scrapbook Challenge #14

Wow! It's been a few days since I posted anything. So sorry to have cheated you! HaHa! Anyway, here is the latest layout I created for the Weekly Scrapbook Challenge that I participate in. It doesn't have any photos yet as I'm waiting for my granddaughters to come visit so I can get some photos of them.

Speaking of my granddaughters, they will be here on Saturday or Sunday! YEA! I am getting so excited as it's been a WHOLE year since I've seen them. No doubt they have grown like crazy not to mention they're a whole year older! Kira will be 8 in August...it seems like only yesterday when she was born...Jaden will be 7 in November and Samantha turned 4 back in February. They are all such cuties and I can't wait to see them!

In anticipation of their visit, I have been in the kitchen the past couple days baking breads and cookies and casseroles to freeze so I won't have to spend a lot of time in the kitchen while they are here. I want to enjoy their visit! But, I digress! Back to the layout....

I created this layout using the Dramatic Fashion design from Close To My Heart's 'Cherish' design book. I also used the Back Country papers that are just perfect for all those outdoor adventures that most of us have no matter what season. The stamp set I used is called 'Backwoods' and goes so well with the Back Country papers. I took the 'Just Be You' saying from an older stamp set called 'Treasures of the Heart' and it is one of my favorites. The cattails are from the 'Beautiful Things' stamp set that I really like as well. Hope you enjoy the layout!

Another CTMH card inspired by Jeanette Lynton

Just thought I'd share another card I made yesterday using the color challenge from June 22 on Jeanette Lynton's blog. This color combination sure was a tough one. Wow! I'm not completely satisfied with this but it'll do. At least I used all 4 colors which include Brown Bag, Cocoa, Juniper and Creme Brulee.
